Chinese Embassy in Seychelles Hold Reception for Ambassador Yu Jinsong's Resumption of Office & the Opening Ceremony of the 4th Seychelles-China Day

Reception for Chinese Ambassador to Seychelles H.E. Mme. Yu Jinsong’s Resumption of Office & the Opening Ceremony of the 4th Seychelles-China Day was held at the Eden Bleu Hotel in Victoria on January 21st, 2017. Around 300 guests were present at the reception, including Speaker of the National Assembly Hon. Patrick Pillay, Court of Appeal Justice Francis McGregor, cabinet ministers, diplomatic corps and representatives from Seychelles and Chinese communities.

H.E. Mme. Yu reviewed the achievements of bilateral relations over the past 40 years. She said no matter how the international situation changes, China remains a sincere friend of Seychelles. She will strive for a new chapter of pragmatic cooperation and friendship between the two countries.

Minister for Youth, Sports & Culture Ms. Idith Alexande welcomed Ambassador Yu Jinsong on behalf of the government of Seychelles. She said Seychelles-China Day is not only an important manifestation of the development of bilateral relations, but also a recognition of the contribution made by the Chinese community to the development of Seychelles.

Chairman of the Chinese Association of Seychelles Mr. Charlie Ng Ping Cheun briefed on the preparation for the 4th Seychelles-China Day events and sent the Chinese Community’s best wishes to the Ambassador.

   

Xinjiang Art Theater Song and Dance Troupe presented wonderful performances at the end of the reception.
