Ambassador Yu Jinsong Present at Inauguration Ceremony of Renovated Anse Royale Playground

On 14 December 2017, Anse Royale playground renovated with donation from Chinese Embassy in Seychelles was inaugurated. The inauguration was held in the presence of H.E. Mme. Yu Jinsong, Chinese Ambassador to Seychelles; Mr. Joel Morgan, Minister for Education and Human Resource Development; Hon. Sylvanne Lemiel, member of the National Assembly for Anse Royale; Ms. Marie Celine Vidot, Principal Secretary of Ministry of Local Government; Mr. Daniel Frichot, Special Adviser to Ministry of Local Government.

Ambassador Yu said the new playground is another symbol of friendship between China and Seychelles. Children are the flowers of the country. Their happiness is the common aspiration of us all. The Embassy hopes the new playground will become a new place of fun and relaxation for children and community.

Ms. Lemiel expressed appreciation to Ambassador Yu. She said Anse Royale has been privileged to be granted such facility and the new facility will provide many hours of entertainment for the children, parents or family who use it.

Ambassador Yu and Minister Morgan unveiled the plaque to officially inaugurate the playground.

The playground consists of four principal zones, where three are zones of entertainment for children aged from 1 to 12. There is also an area dedicated to adults with chairs, tables and exercise equipment for parents to relax while waiting for the children. The various installations comprise toboggans, trampolines, tapasses, swings and spider’s webs etc.
