The Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Seychelles contributed Special Issue in celebration of the 71st Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China

On October 1, 2020, the Chinese Embassy in Seychelles, in cooperation with the The Nation and the Today, two largest-selling newspapers in Seychelles, published a Special Issue to celebrate the 71st Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China.

 

The two newspapers published this Special Issue with 9 and 5 colorful pages respectively, both online and offline. It includes a signed article by Chinese Ambassador to Seychelles H.E. Mrs. Guo Wei, China's achievements in fighting COVID-19 and of development in 2020, China-Seychelles fruitful cooperation in various fields and China's position paper at the UN Summit on Biodiversity.

   

In the signed article, Ambassador introduces China's remarkable achievements in fighting COVID-19 in the spirit of putting people and life first, national economy recovery, promoting international cooperation on combating the virus, and reviews the fruitful outcomes of the development of China-Seychelles bilateral relations. Ambassador Guo emphatically presents the important contents of Xi Jinping Thought on Diplomacy, which is China's foreign diplomacy of opposing unilateralism, hegemony and power politics, adhering to the path of peaceful development as always and building a community with a shared future.

This Special Issue introduces China's economic development in 2020, reviews comprehensively China-Seychelles cooperation in economy and trade, culture, education, health, tourism and other fields, which fully demonstrates the long-term traditional friendship between the two countries, and presents China's position on promoting continuously the construction of ecological civilization and participating actively in global biodiversity governance.

   

The Seychelles-China Trade and Business Promotion Association, Chinese Association of Seychelles, Seychelles Association for Peaceful Reunification of China and other Chinese overseas in Seychelles have also published special pages in newspapers to celebrate the 71st Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China.
