On 20 November 2018, Chinese Ambassador to Seychelles H.E. Mme. Guo Wei met with Mrs. Jeanne Simeon, Minister of Education & Human Resource Development of Seychelles. The two sides exchanged views on strengthening educational exchanges and cooperation between the two countries.
Ambassador Guo said education is an important part of bilateral people-to-people exchanges. She is happy to see that the Chinese Government Scholarship Program, Chinese training programs and the Confucius Institute are widely recognized in Seychelles. During her tenure, she will work hard with the Minister to enhance China-Seychelles educational cooperation.
Minister Simeon said the Seychelles government has always attached great importance to development of education. Seychelles appreciates China's long-term assistance in this field and looks forward to further cooperation between the two sides.
The Ambassador visited the office building of the Ministry after the meeting.
